Disturbed
Biography
Before the singer David Draiman joined Disturbed in 1996, the band then composed of Erich Awalt (Chant), Dan Donegan (Guitare), Mike Wengren (Batterie) and Steve ''Fuz'' Kmak, was called Brawl. After this name change, the band repeats and starts recording the first demos of songs like The Game, Down With The Sickness or Stupify. In 2000, Disturbed signed with Giant Records to release their first album, The Sickness , whose cover designed by the band, represents their mascot, The Guy. One discovers a band that plays a modern Metal, in the middle of a neo-metal wave that is very successful. The album sells extremely well, slides to 29th place in the Billboard worn by the single Stupify . Disturbed made the first part of Marilyn Manson during his European tour, performed at the Ozzfest 2001 and organized his first tour, the Music As A Weapon Tour, alongside Adema , Stereomud , Drowning Pool and Systematic , grappling with many fans. A second album was released in 2002, entitled Believe, which sells even better than the previous album, starting in first place on Billboard. After a new performance at the Ozzfest in 2003, then a tour with Chevelle , Taproot and Unloco , bassist Steve Kmak is fired for disharmony with the rest of the band. He was replaced in 2004 by John Moyer, for the composition of a third album released in 2005. Success is still on track, even if Disturbed changes his musical style. Ten Thousand Fists , shows a band more oriented towards Hard-Rock than Metal and which incorporates even the first soli of guitarist Dan Donegan. The combo takes part in the 2006 Ozzfest and invites Flyleaf , Stone Sour and Nonpoint on the Music As A Weather III. Evolved in a more Rock style, Indestructible appeared in 2008 and finished for the third time in the first place of the Billboard, followed shortly afterwards by the release of the Live&Indestructible. For their new tour, Disturbed plays with Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil and Chimaira. Their fifth album, Asylum , released in 2010 promoted by the tour of Sevendust , In This Moment , Stillwell and Korn . In 2011, David Draiman announced the band's indefinite hiatus and it was not until 2015 that the musicians returned with the album Immortalized .
