Biography
Formed in California in 1993, Downer was born thanks to the guitarist Aaron Silberman (listening his band Mission Impossible), as well as John Scott (listening his band Headfirst). With frequent changes in rhythms, two discrete almost self-produced recordings, concerts including some with The Offspring, or Korn opening for them in a bar, the beginnings are rather chaotic. The line-up is finally stable and complete with the arrival of Tracey Sledge to the battery and Jed Hathaway to the bass. The eponymous album was released by Roadrunner Records in 2001. A few months later, the band decided to stop, for lack of success expected on a label far too much Metal.
