Downless is a band by Vétroz (Valais, French-speaking Switzerland) composed at the base of three punk rock friends: Emilien Bertholet (battery), Stéphane Roduit (bass) and Gonçalo Bico (guitar/song). The group formed in the summer of 2002. In this first year, the band takes its first steps on stage. After a few experiments, Downless won the Bidon Prod contest with five Valais punk rock bands. During the winter of 2003-2004 Downless decided to make his music and entered the studio to record his demo 4 tracks Filp-Flap .
The demo allows them to play at the local level and to meet Destroy Display, a young non-profit association that starts in the field of cooking/coaching and chooses Downless as a battlehorse, which facilitates contact at the national level. Remarked by Red Eyes Production, an inde-swiss label, they signed for 2 albums and then put live in brackets to lock themselves up in a cottage and work on their first album. In November ‘06 the band entered Baghdad Studio with a second guitarist (Stéphane Mol) and recorded his first album called Ultimate Entertainment.
After a training on the boards in ‘07 (Etnies Fast Forward Tour, Eleven Destinations Tour, Paleo Nyon Festival), the release of the opus is falling behind and it will finally be available only in early January 2008.
