Biography

Matt Setzer : song Charlie Costa : guitar Brian Hunt : bass Mike Reo : drums
Early 2002, Brian Hunt, Mike Reo, John Shea and Jeff Gilbert formed One Frequency with two other members. Knowing a local success (they still play in, first part of Murphy's Law or Shai Hulud ) the band finds itself in a dead end when its singer decides to continue his studies and abandon the music; It is immediately followed by a second member. In 2003, the base quartet found a new vocalist in the person of Matt Setzer and changed name (as well as musical style) to adopt Dr. Hourai . A first demo is recorded on the go with the legendary Don Fury. The label Angry Penguin appreciates the result and signs the band that sees its first real work, Post Apocalyptic Nightmare, Vol.1: Vibration In Hyperspace, released in August 2004.
Early '05 a double ad is posted on their site: Charlie Costa joins the ranks as a guitarist while John Shea leaves the place of bassist. Jeff Gilbert will also leave the band that thinks in quartet. In February '07 their site is updated with the message "Just working on the new album!"
Nevertheless, the saga came to an end a few months later, early June, when a Myspace newsletter announced that the band would not release the new album promised. Large internal divestments are at the origin of the rough implosion of the combo against a background of controversy.
