Biography

After composing alone in his
corner, Morior (Guitare, Keyboard) is looking for a singer
for his one-man band in 1999. Chimedra (Chant) ( Thyestean Feast , Twilight Ophera , Crimfall ), convinced by listening to the first
tracks helps him to save the demo The Paynim Crusade the same
year. Shortly after, Draugnim's line-up completes with
the arrival of Turms (Basse) and Jussi Raatikainen (Battery) who
is Jaska Raatikainen's big brother who in Children Of Bodom.
A second demo was on track in 2001 ( Past Aesirs Grace ), but
only published in a handful of copies for relatives and
Friends. In 2002, keyboardist Nanda joined them to record
a third demo Earth Give Us Birth, Our Blood We Give In
Return. Some concerts are given sporadically, but
Draughnim decides to separate from Nanda. Shortly thereafter, it is
Jussi Raatikainen who leaves the group to devote himself to his
studies. This followed a break between 2004 and 2004.
2007. Draughnim returns welded with a new demo under his arm
( Sworn To Waves) and a new striker: Reima Kellokoski. 2008 will
finally see the career of the band take off with its very first
album produced by Henri Sorvali ( Moonsorrow , Finntroll ). Northwind's Ire goes out at Spikefarm Records and receives a good audience reception
Pagan. In 2010, Draugnim returned to the studio to deliver Horizons Low, this time recorded without drummer.
