Drudkh

Drudkh was born in 2002 from the hands of the frontman of the Ukrainian group Hate Forest. Working in a devastating and hateful black metal with his first project, Roman Saenko, has the will to explore the sweetest and most melancholy facet of his creativity. Singing the praises of Ukrainian and Arian nationalism, like many Eastern European groups, Drudkh is considered a group with grabatary ideas, but it is good to consider the cultural context of the nation, and to retain only the artistic aspect of the work launched by Saenko. Forgotten Legends , the band's first album, is recorded quickly after the band's formation, which is only a studio project. It offers an atmospheric and suicidal black metal, comparable to atmospheres that could be served by a Burzum, but with a very Slavic leg, an unstoppable melodic will and especially an incredible melancholy. In 2004 came Autumn Aurora , using the same recipe as his predecessor, but with much more maturity and up to the pointism in emotions and melodies. Considered as two masterpieces, Drudkh's discography, however, disappoints a lot of people with The Swan Road in 2005, falling relatively into the re-editing yet foreshadowing the changes on Blood In Our Wells and the folk album Songs Of Grief And Solitude in 2006, released after Hate Forest's official shutdown. With an even more melodic foot, more diverse evolutions than before, without losing cohesion, this disc confirms the status of the Ukrainian formation in the meanders of the underground black metal. In the following years Drudkh continued his work with Estrangement in 2007 and Microcosmos in 2009, and then began a career shift by signing with Season Of Mist for the production of Handful Of Stars in 2010 and Eternal Turn Of The Wheel in 2012. Ukrainians can no longer be active again in 2015, still at Season of Mist with a new opus, the property named A Furrow Cut Short (----)
