Dub Trio is the meeting of tous musicians of sessions, very good musicians the three members of Dub Trio come to record instrumental parts on artists like The Fuggees, Mobb Deep, Mos Def, Macy Gray, ... That's how they meet and decide to set up a band, at the very beginning they will play some concerts without name, on a poster the organizer will put "Dub Trio" to announce the band, the name has remained. Each bringing its musical influence the band is headed towards a Dub with elements rock/punk or metal. In 2004 their first album, Exploring the Dangers Of , was released on ROIR Records. Between studio sessions the trio gives some concerts and prepares slowly the recording of their new album eponymous (2006). On the latter the band wants to have a singer on one track, they invite Mike Patton ( Faith No More , Peeping Tom , Fantomas , ...) who accepts. On the day of recording the current passes and Patton invites them to come and play the same song on stage at a concert by Peeping Tom / Rahzel . This little boost helps the band make themselves known and allows the band to tour (USA, Europe including several dates in France, Australia, ...), then released Cool Out and Coexist , a live. 2008, Another Sound Is Dying landed in the bins, this time at Ipecac Recordings, offering a heavier and experimental sound, and once again the presence of Mike Patton on a song. After a 3 tracks released in 2010, the band returned to ROIR and released its last real album, IV , in 2011, further increasing the music of the trio.
