Eagles Of Death Metal
Biography
Eagles of Death Metal (EODM) was an American rock band originally formed by Jesse Hughes, Josh Man and Tim Vanhamel in Palm Desert, California in 1998. The band appeared for the first time on Josh Homme's album The Desert Sessions III/IV. Josh Homme is the most well-known member of the band, especially for his leadership role in the Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss. However, he only occasionally participated in the concerts because of QOTSA activity. Jesse Hughes, the group leader, is a childhood friend of Man and former journalist. Tim Vanhamel played him in DEUS, Millionaire and Evil Superstars. Despite their name, the Eagles of Death Metal are not a Death Metal band. Hughes said the name came from a watered discussion with a Death fan where Josh Man called the Vader group "Eagles of Death Metal". Later Man proposes to compose the music corresponding to this unlikely crossing. Peace's first album, Love, Death Metal, was released on March 23, 2004. In an interview for MTV news in 2003, Josh Homme describes the band's sound as a combination of bluegrass with a powerful battery and a voice at Canned Heat. In April 2008, Nike released her new "Take it to the Next Level" advertising campaign for the T90 football shoe. The advertisement is made by Guy Ritchie, the music used is Don't speak. This ad improves the group's reputation. The third album of the band Heart On , the first of which is Wannabe in L.A , was released on October 28, 2008. A world tour starting with the United States is underway in parallel. On October 15, 2012, fifteen days from the launch of Windows 8, Microsoft released its first "teaser" ad for its new operating system, the music is signed Eagles of Death Metal, from the first album Peace, Love, Death Metal with I only want you. In April 2014, the Nike brand used Miss Alissa music from the album, Peace, Love, Death Metal, for one of its ads ( Risk Everything). In 2015 the album Zipper Down was released which received a good reception both in the press and by fans. On November 13, 2015, several terrorist attacks took place in Paris, including one at a band concert in Bataclan. A shooting and hostage taking are taking place in the theatre. If the musicians came out healthy and safe from the attack, it was not the case of 90 people in the audience and Nick Alexander, who dealt with the merchandising around the European tour, just like Thomas Ayad, product manager for Mercury, and especially for Eagles of Death Metal and the band's sound engineer. The terrorist attack, claimed by ISIS, killed 130 people in the evening. More is needed, however, to get the Eagles of Death Metal, which refuse to give in to the terrorist threat. In early 2016 they announced their intention not only to finish their concert on 13 November but also to give other dates in the hexagon. Seats sell very quickly.
