Efterklang
Biography
Listen Danish. Coming from Copenhagen, 5 happy lurons created Efterklang in 2001 and since then have participated in the Nordic concert of post-rock / electronica voices (think Mum, think Sigur Ros) which has spread over the last few years on continental Europe.
Efterklang's first notes are heard on Springer in 2003 (reissued in 2005) on the band's own label, Rumraket (which hosts, among others, Grizzly Bear and Amiina). Turning around an intimate post-rock electro, even at the border of minimalism, the band released its first LP, Tripper , the following year, still on its label. Efterklang shows up on stage, heals his tours with visual brilliance and sees himself, on the road, joined by 3 or 4 sparkling stars (violins, trombones, pianos) to form a band with variable geometry (which is also part of the amazing Peter Broderick).
In 2007, the Danish released an EP ( Under Giants Tree ) and an LP ( Parades ) which began to make them known to the general public. On this occasion, the cocoon opens up and the intimacy of the beginnings gradually turns into a perfectly orchestrated band, testifying to the participation of more than 30 musicians on Parades, whose childish energy finds its echo on stage through the ever more exuberant temperaments of each of the members of the band.
