Biography

Considered one of the first groups of Black Metal using Viking and Scandinavian themes (according to Scandinavian mythology, Einherjer represents, for a Viking fallen during the fight, a life after death, where he will fight alongside Odin against the Giants at the end of the world), Einherjer releases in 1993 a demo very well received in the middle and has them signed with Necromantic Gallery/Damnation. In 1996, the band signed with Napalm Records for Dragon of the North, their first studio album. Odin owns yes all will follow in 1998, produced by Andy Larocque ( King Diamonds, Death ) under the label Century Media and in 1999 this same combo will come out Norwegian Native Art. In 2003 Blot released, under the label Tabu Recordings, before splicing in 2004, to look at a new project: Battered (with the line up of the time, the founders of the group and bassist Ole Moldesæther). In 2008, the band announced its reformation to film in festivals and signed in December 2010 with the Indie Recordings label. Their next album is scheduled for spring 2011. Current line up: Frode Glesnes – guitar, Voice Gerhard Storesund – drums, keyboard Aksel Herløe – guitar (and bass on "Blot")
