Biography

Yann Encre is an atypical artist whom I will not be able to classify in a defined musical style. Whatever Post Rock would be the least worse. To say the least confusing, Encre mixes above-mentioned evocative texts with music charged with string instruments prerecorded on samples and then parsimony distilled in magical harmonies. Indeed, Encre is a magician: it removes the boundaries between programming and real play. We'd swear to have to do with live musicians. On stage, his tracks take the strength of abrasive rock thanks to the games of Bertrand Groussard (King Q4) on drums, Raphaƫl Seguin (Erich Zahn) on guitar, Damien Poncet (My Jazzy Child) on bass and samples as well as the cellist Sonia Cordier. Ink is in its third production at Claping Music. After his eponymous album in 2001, Marbles in 2003, it was Flux's turn to release in 2004. Let's get back to this little jewel..
