Erlen Meyer
Biography
After the split of Mojko, five friends formed Erlen Meyer in 2005. They come from Limoges and their music has nothing to do with porcelain. They prefer to play a powerful, heavy, and flimsy Hardcore. A first eponymous jet released that same year in demo four tracks, then came their first ep entitled Phantom Pain, which was released the following year, still in self-production. The blackness of their music, peasy and heavy is influenced by bands such as Will Haven, Cult Of Luna or Isis. The quintet came back six years later with a first eponymous album, concocted around a Hitchcockian staging and a pen inspired directly by Agatha Christie's dark novels. Black polars and thrillers fed the band that released its first album in the spring of 2013 at Shels Music. He was recorded and mastered by Cédric Soubrand in Limoges at CWR Studio and mixed by Magnus Lindberg (Cult Of Luna , Refused ) in Stockholm at the Riddarborgen studio.
