Evile
Biography
Matt Drake and Ben Carter met on the benches. Fans of Thrash and Heavy, they formed Metal Militia , metallica's take-back group , in 2000. Matt's brother, Ol Drake, takes the guitar while bass player Mike Alexander responds to a small announcement posted by the trio in a store. For 4 years, Metal Militia played back and forth, until the combo decided to write its own songs. He takes the name Evile and releases in the footsteps of 2 eps All Hallows Eve and Hell Demo , starts a tour and signs at Earache ( Napalm Death , Municipal Waste , Gama Bomb ...).
Matt Drake contacted producer Flemming Rasmussen ( Morbid Angel , Artillery ) to record the first album Enter The Grave . The studio sessions took place in 2007 and culminated in an exit that rose to 33rd place in English rock charts. Various concerts take place, allowing Evile to become known live in support of Severe Torture or Sanctity. In 2008, the British started a tour with Megadeth and Job For A Cowboy , made them talk about Rock Band, made Exodus' first part on a pair of dates and made their first clip. Earache reissues the album with a DVD Bonus and launches them on an umpteenth tour with Trigger The Bloodshed.
Hardly returned home, Evile returned to the studio for a new opus with Russ Russel (Dimmu Borgir , The Exploited ). The name of the album was unveiled in June: Infected Nation, and it invaded the bins in September. Rumors are circulating because the exit coincides with the world's flu epidemy in full news at this time. Unfortunately, in October 2009, bassist Mike Alexander died on tour...
