Evilfeast

Evilfeast is a Polish one-man band created in 1996 in Otwock. Grimspirit, the only master on board, also takes care of Funeral Sound Production. The project starts very slowly as the first texts and instrumentals will be composed between 1997 and 2002 to lead to a first demo at the end of the year entitled Thy Abhorrent Emerging . Three pieces spread over about 30 minutes laying the foundations of a Black Metal that feeds on Ambient and Symphonic elements. In 2004 and 2005, Evilfeast continued its work with the releases of Mysteries Of The Nocturnal Forest and Funeral Sorcery, but it was mainly in 2008 with the release of the split with Marblebog and Lost Horizons Of Wisdom that developed a cold and epic Atmospheric Black Metal that Evilfeast began to make talk about him outside the Polish underground. Grimspirit remains very attached to the old-fashioned cassette format, since a second demo appeared in 2009, Wolves Of Hyperborean Frost , but it is really with Wintermoon Enchantment , his fourth album which appeared in 2011 at Nykta Records and in 2012 at Amor Fati Productions that the musician begins to make himself known more. After an ep in 2013 entitled Invoking The Ancient which appeared at Obscure Abhorrence Productions, Evilfeast released a fifth album, Elegies Of The Stellar Wind, via Eisenwald, which proved to be an important critical and artistic success. Grimspirit thus continues its momentum with the ep Isenheimen in 2018 and two splits in 2020 and 2021 with Uuntar and Gnipahålan respectively.
