Fantasma

Fantasma is a South African project at the base of which we find Spoek Mathambo, accompanied here by DJ Spoko (Bacardi House), drummer Michael Buchanan, guitarist André Geldenhuys (machineri), and multi-instrumentalist Bhekisenzo Cele, the band wants to be eclectic from hip-hop to rock-psyché, from electro to world music... Introduced in early 2014, Fantasma quickly starts working on a five-track EP, in which the styles discussed will be as rich as they are varied, the quintet blending it with uneasy rhythms, completely psychedelic rock passages, or even world sunny music, Eye of the Sun comes out in November at Soundway Records. In a second time the band has been working since the summer on a first album, Free Love is born in spring 2015. It is promoted by the first single Shangrila , already present on the EP and for the occasion provided with a clip high in color, faithful to the meling pot musical to which Fantasma wishes to identify.
