There was a life before Father John Misty. Joshua Tillman, born in 1981, was first drummer of Fleet Foxes and Saxon Shore. Then, started solo in 2012 under this enigmatic pseudo. Under the grandiose religious airs, Father John Misty plays a concentrate of folk, americana and blues with the scent of the 1970s, an outlet for the concerns and anxieties of J. Tillman's daily life.
