Biography

Formed in 2002 in Aurora (Colorado) under the name Fear Before The March of Flames, the combo draws its surname from a newspaper article from the Denver Post. Then a quartet (David Marion, Adam Fisher, Michael Madruga and Brandon Proff, knowing that 3 of the musicians were members of a Pop-Punk band) oriented towards Botch or Converge, Fear Before will chain in a few months concerts and a first EP that will allow them to sign at Rise Records.
The first album Odd How People Shake was released in 2003, followed by a tour with The Blood Brothers and Hopesfall and a change of label (passage at Equal Vision Records that took advantage of it to emerge Odd How People Shake). The combo then oscillates between parts plus Mathcore and some vocal passages close to the first Underoath .

The concerts follow (with I Killed the Prom Queen, Norma Jean, ...) as well as the discs (an EP Live at the Epicentre in September 2004 and Art Damage in the same month). Fear Before is increasingly moving towards an epileptic Mathcore, which leads them to turn with Underoath and The Chariot. The Always Open Mouth announced in 2006 with a new stylistic break (double song more used, much less singing screaming, less rhythm breaks, ...). The concerts are going on again, backed by EP Little Less Teeth and an announced DVD (Absolute Past, Absolute Future, which will never see the light).
Two years later, Fear Before the March of Flames became Fear Before with his 4th album which will also be the last. Indeed, on the FB of combo is announced some time later that they are in hiatus with indefinite duration.
