Fifth Hour Hero
Biography
Dave Chamberland : drums Mathieu Guilbault : bass, choir Olivier Maguire - singing, guitar Genevieve Tremblay - singing, guitar
Originally from Saint Romuald, Quebec, Canada, Fifth Hour Hero formed late '99 with the following quintet: Dave Chamberland (battery), Olivier Roberge (bass), Charles Mathieu-Tremblay (guitar), Olivier Maguire (chant) and Geneviève Tremblay (song, guitar). The first EP Collected In Comfort was released in March '01 by Cyclop Records, which opened its first release. During the year, the first small tours will have faith of Brother Tremblay who leaves the band (Maguire takes the second guitar) and Mathieu Guilbault replaces Roberge in the position of bassist. These line up changes are followed by a signature at Gainesville, Florida label No Idea Records, which released the CD split with Gunmoll in August 2002.
After a first big tour in the United States, Scattered Sentences (2003) is released. The support allows them to record some 7" and split EPs, in turn with No Choice and The Sainte Catherines (2004). A period of rest is needed for Fifth Hour Hero, who will return to America and Europe. Once repulsed, the new album Not Revenge... Just a Vicious Crush , ends up in August 2006, still at No Idea, and always with the same line-up.
