Biography
Fight Amp comes from New Jersey (USA) and draws its influences from the Amphetamine Reptile stable that made its reputation in the post-hardcore and noise environment in the 1990s (including Halo of Flies , Helmet , Cows , Today Is The Day , Melvin experiments , etc.). Adding a noise dimension ala Jesus Lizard and a hardcore punk sound and after an EP released under the name Fight Amputation, the quartet released its debut album on Translation Loss Records ( Giant Squid, Struck by Lightning, Rosetta, Irepress), in 2007, titled Hungry for Nothing.
Walking in the footsteps of Kylesa, unless it's the other way around, the Americans release a second album, Manners And Praise, at the end of 2009.
