Under the leadership of Sachiko and Yuko, FLiP is launched on 06 October 2005 in a fast food in Naha, Okinawa Island Prefecture, Japan. Both are quickly joined by their childhood friends Sayaka and Yuumi. It will be necessary to wait until 2008 and the release of the first maxi Haha kara Umareta Hinekure no Uta (on the High Wave label) in 2008 for them to export to the other islands of the country, including participating in the Summer Sonic Festival and a national tour from September to December '08.
The quartet's career was well launched the following year when they were invited to tour the United States on the SXSW tour and Japan Nite (March '09). In the wake comes the second EP Kanshou Chuudoku . At the beginning of 2010, a contract was signed with Defstar Records (under Sony Music Entertainment's division for Japan), culminating in the release on February 03 of the EP Dear Girls for the promotion to which they toured Japan for more than a month.
