Flying Donuts
Biography
The band formed in 1996 in Epinal and oddly, before Last Straight Line it had only released a CD 5 tracks self-produced in July 1998. On the other hand, the Flying Donuts are well aware of the floors of the concert halls, since they had already more than a hundred dates in the four corners of France (with Burning Heads , Seven Hate , Aina ...). The band also squatted some compilations for fanzines (Kérosène, Folie Douce, El Guano...) and recorded a title for the well-known Emo*Glam*Connection . Last Straight Line also allows them to participate in the Eurockéennes in Belfort in 2002. At the end of that same year they put in box 4 tracks for a split CD with Second Rate that comes out in '03, This Machine Kills Emo Kids . It is then time for the Vosges to export a little abroad (Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy) before returning to France and integrate a second guitarist into the training in order to record the 45 laps Back Off.
Renewed Attack , the second album, takes shape in 2005 and the Flying Donuts who heated themselves with an EP split alongside I Am Afrid to Depress , record it at Harvey Birrell ( Therapy? , Buzzcocks , Snuff , Mega City Four etc) for a release in March 2006 on their label José Records. Several tours followed (France and Europe), again in trio, before the 3 competitors recovered to work by planting on a CD split with the Hungarians of The Joystix (a co-production José Records / Kicking Records). The split cake is in the ferries in April '07 as they go back on the roads of Eastern Europe in May...
