Biography

In 2003, motivated among other things by the achievements of Belvedere, the Bayonnais Stéphane Duboy (Guitare), Marcy (Basse), Rémi Lafargue (Battery, Chant) and Sylvain (Chant) set up a group whose name they will quickly change to adopt Forus. After a few local concerts, they feel the need to record a demo to realize their efforts. It will be done in 2005 with Start From Zero boxed by Gojira's ingesting sound. The following year, the surf / skate brand Mada signed a sponsorship contract that allowed them to spin a little more. But Sylvain left the band and Michel Garcia took the double cap of guitar and singing. At the end of the year, the label Bells On Records ( PMX , Pendleton , This Is A Standoff , Actionmen ) signs them and a few months later, in spring 2007, they open for This Is A Standoff . The summer of that same year was devoted to the production and recording by Christian Carvin of an ep entitled Aaron's Revolution. In October, Marcy left the group and the bassist position was taken over by Matéo Arrestier. After several attempts at aborted tours, the group takes matters seriously in order to promote on the road the ep that comes out in 2008 while in 2009 a split with Actionmen, Hero Of Our Time and Play Attenchon is born. In 2010, Bastien Lamarque became the new guitarist and Emmanuel Poutet the new bassist of Forus with whom they recorded their first album, We , which was released in 2011 at Effervescence Records. A tour in Russia is scheduled in 2011 to promote the album alongside Mad Caddies, A Wilhelm Scream, The Flatliners, Mute, Nine Even and Straightaway. In 2012, Arno Thoral replaced Emmanuel and Forus began to compose his second album. Lights finally sees the beginning of 2014, still at Effervescence Records.
