Biography

Sydney, Australia, 1992: training of Fresnel's friends. After the usual galleys inherent in almost all the bands (line-up problems, fake repeats...), the Aussies managed to participate in the Big Day Out (the biggest Australian festival) in '94 (for the anecdote, during their raging set, a fire broke out, forcing a massive evacuation...) This incident allows them to make a name quite strangely and the following EP Dick Sandwich sells like bread rolls. It is followed by the album Coughin' Up A Storm which points out them by Fat Mike who immediately signs them on Fat Wreck Chords for some 7", singles and EPs as a test. Not So Tough Now on Shagpile/Shock sees them disembarking in first place Australian indie charts, even though the group has difficulty 'exporting'. This will happen the following year when the band opens for the first time in the USA alongside Blink 182 and Less Than Jake and then at the Warped Tour after the Australian tours with NOFX, Bad Religion, The Offspring etc. Following Lindsay's arrival in '96, Gordy landed in the troupe in '99. Following is the band's first real album on Fat: A Man's Not A Camel, cd that marks a more poppy turn in their careers. The following year, Shut Your Mouth was distributed by Fat. Before what is considered a lot as a renewed inspiration with Sans Souci, Lex (who was present from the beginning), left his place to Tom at bass.
