Biography

Frog Eyes is a Canadian band formed in 2001 in Victoria, British Columbia. It mainly revolves around the Carey Mercer couple (chant/guitar) – Melanie Campbell (battery), but also includes the multi-instrumentalist Spencer Krug and bassist Michael Rak. Most of the actors are not content with this activity alone. They can be found in Destroyer, Wolf Parade, Swan Lake, or even Sunset Rubdown. Sometimes sharing the poster with other Canadian rising figures, such as The Arcade Fire, Frog Eyes makes no less than five albums before landing on the label Absolutely Kosher. It is also on the latter that comes out in spring 2007 called the Tears Of The Valedictorian. The label Ruminance ( Chevreuil , Oxbow , Ulan Bator ...) takes care to release the record in January 2008 in Europe.
