Group Punk Hardcore from Toronto, Fucked Up is first known by the release of a multitude of 7" slings, some of which prove to be real anti-cop burns. Although the lineup has been stable since that time, Concentration Camp, the ephemeral leader of the band, will quickly leave Pink Eyes in the position of singer to slide towards that of second guitarist (for more details, look for the people section of your favorite fanzines and webzines). Provocative, it is under this configuration that the formation will grow to the point of ending up on MTV Canada where it will put a monster brothel at each passage ($2,000 damage a first time then the destruction of the toilets from which the group occurred the second time). More recently Young Governor joined as a third guitarist, accompanying a notable evolution of the band's music to countries much closer to a mix between Punk Hardcore and Indie Rock than to their beginnings. A change that divides their fans while it is generally very well received by specialist and generalist critics when their latest album is released: The Chemistry of Common Life that the group will defend with great blows of grim performances. Fucked Up has continued since its launch on the occasion of a 7" split with Serenah Maneesh or the EP 12" Year of the Ox nearly half an hour long for only two tracks, both released in 2010 and announcers of a series of singles to introduce the third studio album of the combo. David Comes to Life , named after a title by The Hidden World , finally landed in the bins in June 2011, presenting an even more melodic and ambitious face of Toronto's atypical formation.
