Biography

Ian MacKaye - singing, guitar Guy Picciotto - singing, guitar Brendan Canty - drums Joe Lally - bass cult band (post-punk / emo / rock) from Washington DC, Fugazi was born in 1987 around Ian MacKaye ( Teen Idles , Minor Threat , Skewbald , Egg Hunt & Embrace ), Brendan Canty and Guy Picciotto (Rites of Spring , One Last Wish , Happy-Go-Licky ). Since its creation, the band has given birth to 7 albums and rotates almost half of the year around the globe (USA, Australia, Europe, Japan ...). Fugazi is the independent group par excellence and will give birth to the label (also independent) Dischord , which brings together the vast majority of post-punk groups from Washington. In addition to their records, the band produced an autobiographical video documentary, "Instrument", in collaboration with independent director Jem Cohen. Fugazi's latest production, The argument, dates back to 2001 and since then, the band has entered a hibernation phase, leaving the many fans a little orphaned. To meet expectations, multiple bootlegs are currently available for free download here: http://www.fugaziliiveseries.com .
