Biography

Funeral Mist is a Black-Metal band formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1993 by Typhos (Guitare / Chant - Dark Funeral), Vintras (Guitare - Thyrfing) and Velion (Batterie). Arioch (Bass, Guitar, Song - Marduk , Triumphator ) only completed the trio a few days later. The first concerts took place in 1995, when their first Darkness demo was also released. Velion is however excluded from the group and it is Necromorbus ( Katharsis , Watain ) who replaces him behind the drums. After the release of a second demo in 1996, Havoc, Typhos left for Dark Funeral. Vintras also left the band the following year and Nachash took up the position of guitarist. In the form of a trio, Funeral Mist recorded a first ep, Devilry, in 1998, but Arioch was occupied by Triumphator and the band's career remained at a standstill. It was only in 2003, that Funeral Mist returned and hit very hard by delivering Salvation , a radical album, extremely brutal and compact. Salvation, with a rare density and violence, makes a very strong impression in the middle of Black Metal. However, Arioch became a screamer at Marduk in 2004 and the project was once again set aside. It was only after six years of silence that the reactive musician Funeral Mist released Maranatha in 2009 with Norma Evangelium Diaboli and The Ajna Offensive. Still very discreet and under radar, a third album released five years later entitled Hekatomb .
