Future Of The Left
Biography
The Welsh of Future of The Left trained in 2005 on McLusky's ashes (Andy Falkous - guitar/voice, and Jack Egglestone - drums) and Jarcrew (Kelson Mathias - guitar/bass). It takes however until 2007 to see the release of the first combo album, Curses, on Too Pure, the London stable that had hosted McLusky. The sonage with the latter is perpetuated from the first riffs: rageous guitars, choruses and inspired vocals sound like old times. New, however: the addition of a keyboard that will take more and more space as and when, adding madness, tempo and depth to the compositions. After a live album in 2009, FoTL signed the same year with 4AD for the release of Travels with Myself And Another, which continues to exude the unwavering inspiration of the quartet. After an intense tour, the band returned to the shadows, replacing bass Kelson Mathias on the start. We must wait until the end of 2011 for a new EP, Polymers Are Forever , prelude to a third album in 2012, The Plot Against Common Sense , invested in electronics. 2013 marks a strong return to saturation, with an album ( How To Stop Your Brain In An Accident ) and two EPs ( Love Songs For Our Husbands and Human Death ).
