Biography

The saxophonist and machinist Gaël Horellou has always been a great fan of Jazz, but not just any one, the good old Jazz de Coltrane , Bird or Mingus , these artists with disproportionate genius, incomprehensible for some, magical for others. In 1994 he joined the Collective Mu in Mâcon and decided to devote himself to music. It is in this collective that he meets Philippe Garcia and tries alongside him on electronic music. Their combined talents gave birth to Drum'n Jazz Cosmik Connection in 1997. A few years later he accumulated collaborations on the hexagonal Electrojazz scene, notably with Laurent De Wilde . Then in 2003 he formed Non Harmonix – or NHX – with Yoann Serra. After several years of experiments combining Jazz and Electronic music, Horellou reconnects with his first love, Jazz, with his first solo album: Explorations .
