Gallhammer
Biography
Gallhammer formed in 2003 in Tokyo with on board three young women passionate about Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, Judas Priest, Amebix and Burzum. Vivian Slaughter (Basse / Chant), Risa Reaper (Battery / Chant) and Mika Penetrator (Guitare / Chant) decide to play an extreme Metal influenced by Black-Metal, Doom-Metal and Crust. Four demos were released between 2003 and 2004, when Gallhammer made his debut, before recording Gloomy Light , their first album. Marked by Darkthrone, the Japanese signed Peaceville Records for their second album, Ill Innocence, a compilation of their first songs, The Dawn Of..., as well as an ep: Beyond The Hatred. The group then began to talk about them in a less confidential way and twice toured Europe in 2007 and 2008. But in 2010, Mika Penetrator left Gallhammer leaving Vivian and Risa recording the third album alone. The End was released in 2011 at Peaceville Records.
