Since 1990, Gameface has been offering 7" albums and other EPs a mix of pop, emo and punk. Under the pen, and Jeff Caudill's pencil stroke, the Southern California formation has influenced groups such as New Found Glory, Saves The Day etc. It is the label Dr. Strange (Guttermouth , Broken Bones ) that will first sign them, and will publish three of their albums, namely Three To Get Ready in '95, Reminder and Good in '97. During this period, specifically in '94, they will lose their drummer, Bob Binckley. Five tours followed in the United States, as well as one in Europe. The quartet then signs on Revelation (Elliott , Bold ) which will release Every Last Time in '99, after two years of absence. The year 2000 will see the release of a Split CD with Errortype: 11 : What's Up Bro . Then a new album, the fourth one, Always On will benefit from the production of James Monroe (Pooch ). In 2001, the English label Firefly Recordings will publish the EP, Feels A Lot Better, containing some titles by Always On, as well as a cover of "Everyday I Write The Book" (Elvis Costello), and "Sing Your Life" by Morrissey. That same year, they will be joined by Guy Julian on bass. Finally, a final album will be released in 2003 on Doghouse Records ( Limbeck , Koufax ): Four To Go . Gameface will split up at least October of that year, for no apparent reason... Jeff Caudill has since set up a solo project in his name.
