Biography

Vincent : Basse Arnaud : Chant Clément : Batterie Fabien : Guitare Martin : Guitare François : Claviers General Lee was formed in March 2000 by Maxime (Guitare), Arnaud (Chant) and Cédric (Battery) and with their experience in Murky (two demos and about twenty concerts) first playing in a Hardcore and Metal register. A first demo was recorded in trio in July 2000 and allowed them, with Nicolas' contribution to bass, to make a handful of dates in France. General Lee also participates at the end of June, alongside the TransExpress troupe, in the Festival des Z'Arts Up in Bethune, offering a sound, light and pyrotechnic show as well as a duo with a lyrical singer with a 2000-person party. The departure of Cédric, his replacement by Clément and the arrival at Flavien's bass (also singer and guitarist in AL'X ) revived the machine and it took little time for the band to compose new songs in a more chaotic register, while favoring melodic passages and this was the result of a split with As We Bleed in 2004. General Lee then devoted himself to their first album which will take time to release. Program change since their beginnings as the combo from Bethune is more evolving in a Postcore registry influenced by Cult Of Luna and Isis. Hannibal Ad Portas was born in 2008 at Basement Apes Industries. Two years later, with a hundred concerts alongside Baroness , Will Haven or Made Out Of Babies , and a keyboardist (François), General Lee released Roads on the Hiphiphip label, always in continuity with their previous work.
