Gg Allin
Biography
By its real name Jesus Christ Allin, GG Allin is one of these ultra-controversial, anti-authoritarian, extreme individualist artists and considered by some to be the most degenerate star in rock history. Indeed, GG Allin's transgressive stage performances have forever marked the scene.
Born in 1956, his family lives in a wooden cabin without running water or electricity in New Hampshire. The story of his childhood was said to be "chaotic", his father being an extreme religious fanatic. During his teens, he transvestite to go to school, influenced by the New York Dolls, which does not help him to make comrades... Young, Allin is interested in Rock n Roll, plays drums and is first influenced by the British Invasion then by Alice Cooper, Hank Williams and The Stooges. Motivated, he set up his first Little Sister's Date group, but this project does not last longer than a year. He then formed in 1975 with his brother Merle Allin, the Malpractice group that lasted until 1977. He also plays in Stripsearch. Also in 1977, GG Allin formed The Jabbers with his brother and other punk musicians. The chronology of GG Allin's discography then becomes long and complicated, as it has become official in various groups, mostly unknown. They record alongside Wayne Kramer and Dennis Thompson ( MC5 ) and Cheetah Chrome ( The Dead Boys ). GG Allin's first studio album (recorded with The Jabbers), Always Was, Is And Always Shall Be, arrived in 1980. It is the most accessible album, especially because the musician is still relatively "wise". During the 1980s, GG Allin recorded a multitude of demos, EPs and K7 with several more or less credible formations such as Antiseen, The Cedar Street Sluts, The Scumfucs, The Motor City Bad Boys, The AIDS Brigade, The Disadditions, The Texas Nazis and The Murder Junkies. His second studio album, Eat My Fuc (recorded with The Scumfucs), was released in 1984. It is during this period that he plunges dangerously into heroin and alcohol, which does not help him to manage his psychological problems. His live performances became increasingly intense from 1985 onwards. In addition to self-harming on stage and fighting with its audience to finish naked and covered with blood, Jesus begins to take laxatives before the shows and engages in coprophagy, live sex practices and threatens to commit suicide in full concert. His frustrations have an unfortunate impact on his health as he has to spend a lot of time in hospital because of the violence of his performance and his health. This also affects his career as an artist, as his concerts are regularly stopped by the police or by the owners of the venues where the shows take place.
In 1987, two albums were released, Hated In The Nation and You Give Love A Bad Name. In 1988, the album with the charming name Freaks, Faggots, Drunks&Junkies came out in the bins. He was also a country fan, and he tried several times in his career, for example in 1989 with the recording of The Trouble Troubadour and after his imprisonment, in 1991 with Carnival Of Excess. GG Allin also spent more than a year in jail because of a sordid story of torture on a woman. During his incarceration, he wrote GG Allin Manifesto and was released in March 1991. The album Murder Junkies (with Antiseen) was released that year. Fascinated by serial killers, GG Allin visited the infamous John Wayne Gacy several times in prison, and later even drew a portrait of Allin, which appears on the cover of the BO of the unlikely documentary by Todd Phillips Hated: GG Allin And The Murder Junkies, which was released in 1993 (This documentary includes interviews and images of amazing concerts as they are violent). In 1993 was published Anti-Social Personality Disorder - Live, recorded in 1988. GG Allin's latest album is Brutality And bloodshed For All (with The Murder Junkies ), which he composed during his long stay in prison. On June 27, 1993, GG Allin gave his last concert, which was stopped from the second song by the local owners. With his band and some fans, he goes out to make a scandal in the street, naked, covered with excrement and well-sung. The band ended up in an apartment and Allin took too much heroine, senort and died in her sleep. His partymates only noticed the following day. In a few years, Jesus has become a recognized artist across the United States and has reached a cult status for his fans, like a sectarian guru with an inimitable look. Amazing images of her passages in some very popular talk shows are also visible on the web.
