Ghinzu
Biography
Ghinzu formed in 1999 in Belgium around the charismatic John Stargasm (chant/claviers/piano), Fabrice (battery), Michaƫl (bass), Greg (guitar) and Sanderson (double bass). This enigmatic name actually refers to an advertisement broadcast on an American teleshopping channel in the 70's boasting the merits of the Japanese knives "Ghinzu", whose slogan is "the more we cut, the more they sharpen!". The band recorded Electronic Jacuzzi in 2000 under the auspices of John Stargasm himself, who was released in 2001 on the Dragoon label, which the band founded on this occasion. The first single Dolly Fischer received a very good welcome from the public, which will be worth the group to be invited to the Transmusicales de Rennes 2001, where their performance will not leave insensitive. Ghinzu returned in 2004 with a second album entitled Blow . Quickly, some combo titles are found on various BOFs, while the band follows the concerts. They enter the studio to record what will become Mirror Mirror , released in 2009.
