Giant Squid is a quintet based in Sacramento that operates in a style close to the late Maudlin Of The Well, i.e. a progressive music between metal and post-rock based on the use of multiple instruments (cords, brass, keyboards ...). In 2004 the band released a first album produced by Billy Anderson ( Neurosis , High On Fire , Mr. Bungle , The Melvins ). From then on the line-up of the group struggled to stabilize itself and Giant Squid took a new direction which prompted him to completely re-register "Metricium Fields" in 2006 always with the help of Billy Andersan, this time helped by Robert Cheek (Deftones , RX Bandits ).
