Biography

Glasseater is an American group from the eastern part of Uncle Sam's country. The band is formed in '98 mainly around JC (guitar) and Julio (battery) that bring together 2 buddies: Ariel (2nd guitarist) and Anthony (bass) + a singer: Jason who at the time official in the band Set Apart. After 2 tours on the American East Coast, the label Ides Of March Records notes them and releases their first album Miles ahead of where we left off (1999) (republished by Dead Droid Records in '02). After 2 more tours, level change: Eulogy Recordings, a great hardcore/emocore label that notices them and signs them to release their new album: 7 years bad lucky. The tour runs very quickly and the group acquires a certain reputation thanks to its live performances which are, it seems, of incredible intensity and quality. This is how Glasseater turns with a floppy of prestigious bands and all as good as each other after less than 2 years of career! (and also signed by Fearless Records at the beginning of 2001 which reissues the latest cd and releases an eponymous combo disc). Early '03, another label move, the Mexicanos signed on Victory Records and delivered Everything is Beautiful When You Don't Look Down in August of the same year, an album that sees the band turning to a less intense and more worked style...
