Glorior Belli

Glorior Belli is a French Black-Metal band formed in 2002 by Indestuus (Guitare / Chant), the only remaining original member and Antares (Batterie, Temple Of Baal). The band then turned to a brutal, fast and violent Black-Metal, reminiscent of the first Scandinavian productions of bands like Darkthrone or Mayhem with a first demo, Evil Archaic Order, in 2003. In 2004, Nefastvs was recruited as second guitarist, and the following year, Dispater (Heol Telwen , Merrimack ) became bassist for the composition of the band's first opus, Ô Laudate Dominvs , both brutal, mystical and occult. In 2006, M:A Fog ( Janvs , Black Flame ) replaced Antares and a year later, Visigoth replaced Dispater, while Alastor ( Temple Of Baal ) took up the position of guitarist after Nefastvs left for Manifesting The Raging Beast at Southern Lord Records. In 2008 Antares briefly returns behind the drums, but will soon be succeeded by Mortaeus (Nethervoid ) and Gaël Barthelemy (Svart Crown , Balrog ) before Darren (Battery) and Jay (Basse), both members of Unarthly Trance are retained. Meet Us At The Southern Sign , their third opus, was released in 2009 at Candlelight Records where one discovers a Glorior Belli more interested in Stoner or Blues influences while keeping dirty and unhealthy atmospheres in their music. In 2010, the group changed line-up again but decided to keep their real names instead of pseudonyms. H. ( Merrimack , Purge ) took the position of guitarist, T. bassist and G. ( Ad Hominem , Macabre Omen , Nocratai ) drummer. Still in a logic of evolution, Glorior Belli pushes the concept even further with The Great Southern Darkness which appeared at Metal Blade Records in 2011.
