Goatsnake
Biography
Goatsnake is one of these groups announcing the renewal of the Stoner/Doom. Formed in 1996 on Obsessed ashes, the quartet develops a renewed rock n roll attitude thanks to a large number of often short essays. The guys in the City of Angels don't forget to release Flower of Disease in 2000, which will become without fail a reference of the genre. Goatsnake then made his nobility letters shine as a big band with the well-educated experience: Greg Anderson still on guitar (Sunn O))), JR of Cave In on drums, Scott Reeder (ex-Kyuss) on bass and Pete Stahl (Scream, Earthlings) on singing. The result is a 10-year absence of discography after an EP (Trampled Under Hoof ) released in 2004, but a stage presence with the original line-up (i.e. Pete Stahl, Greg Anderson, Guy Pinhas, income from Acid King and Greg Rogers) at Roadburn 2010, before about ten other dates including Hellfest 2011. Back in this form in June 2015 with the third album Black Age Blues, distributed by Southern Lord, still at the tip of the taste of smoky swamps.
