God Forbid
Biography
Iron of the Metalcore mobility alongside Chimaira , Lamb Of God or Killswitch Engage , God Forbid formed in New Jersey in 1996 under the leadership of guitarist Dallas Coyle (ex-Faint 13 ) and drummer Corey Pierce. They were joined very quickly by Byron Davis on singing, John Outcalt on bass, and finally by Doc Coyle on guitar, Dallas' brother. The combo released a first album in 1999, Reject The Sickness , and began the endless tours which, in addition to making them known, will allow them to gain a certain reputation on live. Three years later the quintet comes out Determination and the ep Out Of Misery which will strengthen its position as a major group of the new American scene. We must wait until 2004 and the release of Gone Forerver to see the group leave the US borders. The band, which was inspired by critics, went to Europe with Slipknot , Chimaira and Fear Factory to make its third album known. Barely a year later came out IV: Constitution of Treasure, a darker, stronger, but also more melodic record. God Forbid, who multiplies the tours, returns in 2009 with Earthsblood .
