Originally the group was supposed to be called Courage to Care but the whole finally opts for Gorilla Biscuits, name given to a drug that was circulating around at that time. The first games were followed by groups such as Youth of Today, Slideshot, Sick of it all or Killing Time. In 1988, Jordan Cooper, director of Revelation Records, gave them the opportunity to record their first album. Sombrement entitled Gorilla Biscuits , the opus originally comes out in the form of a mini album composed of 7 tracks to which will be added 5 additional titles for cd edition. When the second album Start today is released, Gorilla Biscuits offers the services of a second guitarist Alex. To date it remains one of the most important sales of the Revelation Records label. For its 1991 European tour, the band was joined by Sammy and Porcell, respectively drummer and guitarist of Youth of Today. Gorilla Biscuits split up that year. Wally went to found Moondog who would become Quicksand while Civ accompanied by Sammy and Arthur would set up his own CIV group. Today Wally is the leader of the Rival Schools group and Civ is still active in his group.
