Gorod
Biography
Gorod is a Bordelais technical death metal band founded under the name Gorgasm in 1997. It was in 2006 that Gorgasm became Gorod to avoid confusion with the American brutal death group of the same name. The first album, Neurotripsicks, was released in 2004 and will be republished in 2005 by the Pennsylvanian label Willowtip Records. Gorod then makes his name run further Atlantic but remains almost unknown on our side of the globe. In 2006 Leading Vision will be released in Europe under the Earache Records label. It was in 2009 that the band signed with Listable Records and handed over the cover with Process Of A New Decline, an album that put the band a little more on the stage. In autumn 2010, Guillaume and Arnaud left the band. They were replaced respectively by Julien Deyres ( Zubrowska ) and Nicolas Alberny ( Arcania ). Transcendence is a new ep released in 2011, while Gorod turns alongside The Faceless, Born Of Osiris and Veil Of Maya. In 2012 A Perfect Absolution was released, which saw the Bordelais return to a more brutal and slightly less technical source. In 2015 A Maze of Recycled Creed appeared at Listable Records, where the band reborn with its jazz influences, a tour with Benighted and The Black Dahlia Murder is scheduled for early 2016.
