David Braun: singing, piano Matt Mason: guitar, singing Barrett Slagle: keyboards, guitar, singing Ezra Snider: bass Josh Stephens: drums
Formed in February '04 in Southern California, Great Glass Elevator quickly surfs the PureVolume wave and then Myspace to make a small name. After 2 EPs (2005) melting into the emo / indie mass (at the time at its peak), they went to see the country and developed a more personal sound.
Major Atlantic contacted the quintet in '06 and signed them in the summer of the same year. Ezra Snider replaces Andrew as bassist and the new compositions are refined, coming out in the form of an EP distributed free of charge via the Internet in spring 2007, Our Hands Turn Into Machines. It serves as a support for the album (for the time being entitled The Faces of Coltrane ), which is expected to appear late '07 on the major.
