Black Emperor, Gregor Samsa gives a post-rock tinted with Shoegaze, built on a male/female vocal duo with Champ Bennett and Nikki King for performers. For the sequel to Gregor Samsa , the duo surrounds Jason Laferrera (Basse / Claviers) and Champ's brother Billy Bennett (Battery / Vibraphone / Percussions) for the composition of a split with Red Sparowes and album 55:12 by The Kora Records and Own Records. The combo career finally took off in 2006 with the success of the split and album and became considered one of the most gifted bands in the discipline. Champ and Nikki recruit many musicians, including Mia Matsumiya (Violon) and Toby Driver (Clarinet / Guitar / Bass / Vibraphone) by Kayo Dot, but also Jeremiah Klinger (Guitare / Clarinet / Piano) Cory Bise (Basse), Andrew Miller (Vello), Alex Aldi (Claviers), Alan Weatherhead (Guitare), Rock Alverson (Chant) and Debra Wassum (Chant).
