Grieves

Grieves is a young MC from the USA, especially Seattle. By his real name Benjamin Laub, the young MC started writing his first pieces in 2003, locked up in his apartment, then performed in a few clubs before the release in 2007 of Irreversible, his first LP. The second album, 88 Keys and Counting , was released with producer Budo, originally planned as an EP of a few tracks. After a move to Brooklyn, the duo continues to write and perform everywhere, combining samples and more classical insistrations such as trumpet or guitar. In 2009, Grieves signed with Rhymesayers, while working on what will become his 3rd LP, Together/Apart. The album was released in 2011 with singles On The Rocks or Bloody Poetry , and is rather well received by critics. After a series of concerts to defend live his studio album, Grieves focuses on writing a new album, Winter&The Wolves, which is still released in 2014 at Rhymesayers.
