Guns N Roses
Biography
Guns N'Roses was born in 1985 at the initiative of Axl Rose (song), Duff McKagan (bass), Izzy Stradlin (guitar), Tracy Guns (guitar) and Rob Gardner (battery). Soon these two will be replaced by Slash and Steve Adler. The band mixes with brilliance the different influences of its members, ranging from hard rock to punk and blues. Despite a very rock n'roll lifestyle mixing alcohol and drugs, the Gunners quickly managed to get a place on the Los Angeles scene. In 1986, they released Live Like a Suicide a 45 laps gone unnoticed. The following year, Guns N'Roses released his first album, Appetite For Destruction, a real bestseller with tubes like Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, It's So Easy or Sweet Child O'Mine. The band then started a huge tour that quickly raised them to the rank of planetary rockstars. Their tour barely finished, the Gunners get back to work to release a record reproducing Live Like a Suicide tracks with new tracks, Guns n'Roses Lies. The album's title refers to tabloids taking advantage of the band's controversial lifestyle by inventing extravagant stories. The record is the occasion of a new scandal, with the song One In A Million, called racist. In 1990, Adler was ousted from the band because of his drug problems, Matt Sorum (The Cult) took his place. The Gunners are also joined by another member of The Cult in the person of Dizzy Redd, a keyboardist of his state. After three unproductive years, the Guns N'Roses released a double album full of tubes, Use Your Illusion I and II at the end of 1991. It includes the cultivism You Could Be Mine used for the Bo de Terminator 2 . Shortly afterwards, Izzy, unbeared by Axl, left the band on tour. He was replaced by Gilby Clarke. In 1993 the band was to shoot with Metallica and Nirvana, but Kurt Cobain could not support Axl, refused. So Faith No More takes part in this monstrous tour, synonymous with constant jaille and real debauchery. At the end of the year, the Gunners released a cover album, The Spaghetti Incident? It includes titles from Stooges , Sex Pistols , Soundgarden ... This record makes a resounding bride, but clears the chronicle because of the presence of a song by Charles Manson on hidden track, Look At Your Game. The Gunners nevertheless gave a last excellent recovery, Sympathy For The Devil of Rolling Stones, for the interview BO With A Vampire, in 1994. Later, the solo projects sound on all sides and the confusion with Axl only worsens. Gilby was fired and replaced by Paul Tobias, Slash (leader of the group) no longer supported Axl and left in 1996 with Snakepit. Robin Finck ( Nine Inch Nails ) succeeded him the following year, while the other members continued to work on a new album. In 1997, Duff and Matt became confused with Axl and left the band. They were replaced in 1998 by Tommy Stinson and Josh Freese. A second claverist arrives that same year, Chris Pitman. This training produced nothing, and in 1999 Robin Finck left the Guns N'Roses to find Nine Inch Nails. On the occasion of the release of the film La Fin des Temps , the Guns N'Roses released the single Oh My God , present on the film's BO. Axl Rose also reveals the name of the new album: Chinese Democracy. In 2000 Freese's contract expired and Brian Mantia, called "Brain", took her place in the battery. Buckethead also joined the band as a guitarist. Finck even returns to the band, Tobias doesn't like to do a concert. The latter, however, actively participates in Chinese Democracy. On January 1, 2001, the Gunners gave their first concert with their new formation. In the following year Tobias gave up his place to Richard Fortus, the band then toured again. In 2002, former Gunners Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum formed Velvet Revover with Scott Weiland ( Stone Temple Pilots) and Dave Kushner (Suicidal Tendencies). Meanwhile, the Guns N'Roses continue to record the famous Chinese Democracy, the most delayed album in history. An exit would be planned by the end of the year, like what everything happens!
