Biography

Sean Schock - drums, singing Shade - guitar, singing Christy Chatfield - guitar, singing Will Lindsay - bass
A native of Eugene (Oregon), Happy Bastards was the result of the 2003 meeting between Sean Schok, Christy Chatfield and Saxon Wood. The trio began to play with a few covers of Conflict , Rudimentary Peni and Dirt before writing his first title, "Run with the Sheep". The case went well, but the band decided to recruit a second guitarist, Shade. After performing several concerts including a tribute to Rudimentary Peni, the Happy Bastards recorded nine songs at Gung Ho Studios. Eight of them appeared on a split with Human Certainty , another Eugene band with whom the band toured in September 2004. 2006 is a prolific year for Happy Bastards. A Box of Hard Knocks , first album, was released by Profane Existence. The galette under his arm, the band then sailed for Minneapolis to join The Cooters for a three-week tour in the northeast of the States. Shortly after the Happy Bastards experienced their first line-up change with the departure of Saxon Wood for Lunacy , replaced by Will Lindsay (The Detonators , Middian ). In January 2007 the Happy Bastards recorded a split with the English of Kismet HC on the French label Fight For Your Mind.
