Hardtimes
Biography
Phil : Song David : Guitar Vincent : Guitar Louis : Bass Xavier : Battery
Formed at the dawn of 2003, for "palier to the chronic lack of a Parisian Street-Punk band", Hardtimes takes his mark in Skinhead 69 culture - and its representative Oi! music - while adding his personal touch, made of big hardcore sound. Quickly spotted the quintet of the charismatic singer Phil, signs in 2004 a first EP at Bords De Seine, then a second production for Narayan Records with a split next to Mouthguard. The studio sessions multiplied during the same year, but it was a year later that the first LP We Take The Shit From No One was released at A Life For Nothing. The basics Oi! / Punk influence 4 Skins, The Oppressed are confirmed, just like the Hardcore touches to the Warzone, which carry a tortured and aggressive song, with personal acerbic words to wish. However, the first changes of line-up occur. Rose gave the bass to David shortly before the release of the album, while Alex added a third guitar to those of Josse and Karim. And it was three years later that Hardtimes spoke again; still as anchored (and inked) in the Parisian Skinhead microcosm, and anti-racist activism, the line-up quintet totally upset (Momo is then the drums, David and Alex exchanged their instruments, and Vincent took the guitar while Josse and Karim turned the page) returns to the strong business of a new EP Tomorrow we Appartient. The year 2009 begins with changes: Louis ( Street Kids) takes bass and Xavier the battery. It is in this form that they not only play alongside Forbidden Kings, Nabat, Klaasse Krimnale or Cockney Rejects.
