Biography

Turning to the themes of nature, mythology, this group of Dutch Pagan Metal from Arnhem formed in 2002 by six people wishing to communicate their inspiration around common themes, first known as Hymir. It was in 2003 that the band began to perform, first with their demo Het Gelders Volkslied . A first album, De Strijdlust Is Geboren , was released in 2005, with a busy year. The singer Jesse Vuerbaert and guitarist Niels Beenkever left the band, and were replaced by Mark Splintervuyscht and Reamon Bomenbreker. A reissue of De Strijdlust Is Geboren was released in 2008, the same year as their second album, Walhalla Wacht , which will be the first with their new line-up. It was in 2010 that their last album, Uit Oude Grond, was released, before starting a tour, including the Heidenfest Tour 2010, accompanied by Equilibrium, Ensiferum, Swashbuckle, and Twilight Of The Gods.
