Heidra

Heidra was born in a cold Danish winter near Copenhagen in 2006. Martin W. Jensen (Guitare / Chant) Danny Svendsen (Claviers), Morten Bryld (Chant / Guitar) and Simon Christensen (Battery) start their debut and recruit two new musicians in 2007, Mickey Holm Nesager (Basse) and Mads Akre (Guitare). Incorporating the hardness of Black Metal into more melodic aspects of Folk and Power Metal, Heidra finally released a first demo called The Saga in 2008. But the line-up is inconclusive as Simon, Mickey and Mads quickly leave the project. We have to wait for Morten Kristiansen (Basse) and Carlos G.R. (Guitare) to get back in the saddle with the Northern Tales demo, then drummer Mikkel Køster for the release of theep Sworn To Vengeance. In 2014, Heidra signed with Mighty Music to deliver a successful first opus: Awaiting Dawn.
