Biography

Hiatus Kaiyote is a neo-soul quartet formed by Nai Palm, Perrin Moss, Paul Bender and Simon Mavin in 2011, under this label hides a distinct identity, nourished by very broad influences, from flamenco to hip-hop or even from rock to opera, his artistic approach is reminiscent of a certain Esbjorn Svensson Trio. Tawk Tomahawk (2012, Flying Buddha/Sony Music) is the first Australian album, it contains the title Nakamarra in duet with Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest which is nominated for the Grammy Awards 2013, warmly welcomed by critics he brings them all over the world, notably at the Paris Jazz Festival in La Villette.
